Browning Hi-Power

Texture Tuesday / This Browning Hi-Power was created in 2018 for an unannounced project. The Hi-Power is a single-action, semi-automatic handgun. For this asset we took artistic liberties on the metal textures. We tried to exaggerate small blemishes and damage, as well as giving indication of machining and grinding in the metals. Small accents like serial numbers and stamped letters were embellished to add interest as well. Whenever we create weapons we tend to push and pull certain aspects of the texturing to emphasize heightened realism. It’s the best of both worlds, artistic yet photorealistic.
